I have very old judicial stamp papers, they are unused/ blank and hence very valuable. The papers were issued by Karnataka state, India.

Item Location: Bangalore, India

18 (6+12) Original Judicial Stamp Papers of pre independence Government of Karnataka (India). (Though it was known as the State of Mysore then, the British did give freedom for administrative purposes. Some powerful members of the Congress party at that time did not recognise the name Mysore State as linked to the Maharaja of Mysore and named the High Court of Mysore State as Karnataka High Court like the Karnatak Bank and Karnataka University which were so named before the state was formed. Hence the judicial papers are of the Government of Karnataka).

FAQ - Some common questions asked:

Why do you say its valuable as its blank - and can be used for large transactions?
Answer: Its valuable becuase its rare, is blank which means it can be used/misused to lay a claim to large properties for which there are no ownership documents.

Do you mean to say it can be used to either develop 1000 acres or a 1 acre land?
Answer: Yes, it can be used to develop/claim (as above) a 10,000 crore + (1 billion dollars +) or 1 crore ($250,000) property.

Why the verification and sale agreement?
Answer: Verification as it should be sold to collectors, though I cannot do anything if used later. Also to ensure it does not go to the underworld, or politicians who cheat etc. If misused I should not be held responsible later and is for documentation purposes only and of mutual benefit to both parties, much like when a vehicle is sold.

You say there are no dates, entries or seals does it mean this could represent any year for example 1920 or 1925?
Answer: Yes it means it can represent any year 1960, 1950, 1930 etc when such papers were used then. In those days there was trust and no faking, so entries were usually not made on stamp papers by vendors.

Does the buyer have to be a collector?
Answer: Yes the buyer should be a collector as it could be misused to claim expensive properties, though I cannot do anything if used later.

Were not Annas used before 1947, Independence?
Answer: Unfortunately this is a misconception. Rupees were printed by private banks upto 1861. The Paper Currency Act of 1861 conferred upon Government of India the monopoly of Note Issue bringing to end banknote issues of Private and Presidency Banks. Government of India continued to issue currency notes till the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) was established on 1st April, 1935.

Please see the STAMP ACT, 1899 , THE REGISTRATION ACT (Central Act No XVI OF 1908) , Transfer of Property Act,1882 (Act No. IV of 1882).

Please do check with old, experienced and knowledgeable people at the High Court of Karnataka and the Registrar General's Office of Stamps who are aware of the history before proceeding with this purchase. The check is if these type of papers existed, if so when? As blank it can be assumed for any year.
